SOVRAN
Sovereignty over yourself is not a service. It is a right.

Today you are a recordSUBJECT · 00.0%. Tomorrow you are sovereignNO CLAIM · YOURS.

Your face, your address, your habits, your children — collected by people you never met and sold to people you'll never see. SOVRAN finds it, takes it down, and shows you the surveillance you move through every day.

One piece of this is already built and free to use right now — run The Audit on your own data export.

Nothing readable ever reaches our servers.By architecture, not by promise.

Where things stand

This is not fear. It is a count of the doors left open.

None of this is hidden. It is public, documented, and almost nobody has the hours to act on it. The rights already exist. What's missing is anyone making them usable.

Data brokers registered in California alone are now legally required to delete your information on request — and to keep checking for new requests every 45 days.

The window platforms now have to remove intimate images shared without consent — real or AI-generated — once you file a valid request.

What it does

Six ways to take yourself back.

Rights you already hold are scattered across a dozen agencies and hundreds of forms. SOVRAN turns them into one place you actually check.

Free forever

See yourself the way a stranger does

Answer a few questions and find out what someone could learn about you in twenty minutes — where you live, where you train, what your car looks like, who your family is. For most people it's the first honest picture they've ever had of themselves.

  • Ranked by what's exposed and what it actually costs you
  • Every source named, so you know exactly who to go after
  • Run it again any time to see what really changed

Read back everything you've already published

Every platform is legally required to hand you a full export of your own data. Download yours, drop the file into SOVRAN, and it is read entirely on your device — no account connection, no passwords, no tokens for anyone to steal.

  • Every geotag, EXIF coordinate, and location tag you ever attached to a post
  • Photos that show a house number, a school logo, a plate, a gate code, a badge
  • Patterns in when and where you post that reveal a schedule you didn't mean to publish
  • A pre-post check that flags all of it before you share the next one

Find your face

Search for photos of yourself you never posted. Your face is matched on your own device — the image never uploads, and SOVRAN can only ever search for the person who verified the account. This is a mirror, not a lookup tool for strangers.

Take it down and keep it down

Broker deletions, copyright claims on photos you took yourself, and non-consensual image removals — filed for you, tracked to a real answer, and refiled the moment someone quietly puts it back.

See what sees you

Plate readers, camera networks, and the contracts behind them, mapped from public records. What's on your street, who runs it, how long they keep it, and when your city council votes on it next.

SOVRAN+

The last word

Name someone you trust. If you die or go dark, they can erase everything SOVRAN holds and fire every removal request you had queued — without ever holding your keys while you're alive. Your record shouldn't outlive you unless you decided it should.

The charter

Sovereignty means
no one else holds
the keys.

Every service that protects your identity collects your identity first. That makes it the most valuable target in the room — for a breach, for a broker, for a subpoena. It is the reason so many privacy tools eventually become the thing they were built against.

So SOVRAN is built to be worthless to anyone who takes it. These are not promises in a policy that changes when the company does. They are the shape of the system. A promise can be broken overnight. An architecture has to be rebuilt.

I

Your photographs stay on your device

Faces are matched locally. The image is never uploaded, and there is no copy of it to lose.

II

Your identity is confirmed, not collected

A third party checks your ID and tells us yes. We never receive the document, the number, or the photograph.

III

Your notes are sealed before they leave you

Encrypted with a key derived from your passphrase. We hold ciphertext and cannot open it — not for a court, not for ourselves.

IV

Nothing you search for is written down

No query logs. No history. No behavioral profile. There is no record of your use to hand to anyone.

V

We never sell, and never take money from anyone who does

No advertising. No data brokers. No investor who needs us to change our mind about that later.

VI

You can end it completely

Delete your account and your email leaves with it. What we hold on you goes to zero, because there was almost nothing to begin with.

For families

Your child's record started before they could type.

By the time a kid is old enough to consent, thousands of images and details about them are already public — nearly all of it posted by adults who love them. SOVRAN helps parents close that down without ever building a tool that tracks a child.

Audit what you posted

Point it at your own accounts. Find the school name on the jersey, the street sign behind the birthday cake, the geotag on the soccer field — and clear it in a few taps.

Opt out of the directory

Schools can release your child's name, photo, and address unless you say no in writing. We tell you which form, which office, which deadline, in your district.

Know the emergency path

If images of your child ever surface, the removal routes exist and they move fast. We keep them one tap away so nobody has to learn them in a panic.

What we charge for, and what we never will

A right is free. The work of defending it is not.

You have a right to counsel. Lawyers still bill. The right is what nobody can take from you — the labor is what someone has to do. We charge for the labor and we never, ever charge for the right.

Knowing is always free

What's exposed about you. What rights you hold. What surveillance sits on your street. How to file every request yourself, by hand, without us. Paywalling that would mean selling you the right itself, and we won't.

Doing it for you is the paid part

Filing hundreds of deletions, chasing them to a real answer, and refiling when they quietly repopulate — that is ongoing human and machine work with a real cost. That's SOVRAN+. And a share of every subscription covers people at genuine risk who cannot pay.

The long view

We are the first generation who have to learn this. We will not be the last who need it.

Every year we treat self-preservation as optional, the gap widens between what is known about us and what we know about ourselves. That gap is where the harm lives. SOVRAN exists to close it — and to prove that a tool built to protect people never has to collect them first.
